We have seen the rise in popularity of dash cams in recent years. They are an invaluable car accessory that can help in the event of an insurance claim or otherwise. Thus we are familiar with working with and around dash cams and the various wiring/mounts related. Typically dash cam wires will be tucked into the headliner as well as the A-Pillar so extra caution is used to ensure we don’t damage these in the windshield removal process.
This particular Honda S2000 that we worked on had wiring for a dash cam, microphone for the bluetooth head unit, as well as a Garmin Catalyst lap timer! This is not an issue as our experienced technicians can ensure the wiring is safely removed and reinstalled. Whenever possible we will also reattach the dash cam if we have the necessary mounting accessories. However in some cases proprietary mounts/tapes are needed which you should source from the installer or seller of your dash cam system.

Long story short, while dash cams and other wiring do present a challenge to any auto glass technician, it is a familiar challenge that we can definitely handle.
